The biggest shopping day in the world is fast approaching and it’s not Black Friday.  Single’s Day, China’s celebration of being romantically unattached, is celebrated every year on November 11 (11/11…do you see it now?). Alibaba, China’s biggest eCommerce company, has successfully turned this day into one of the biggest and most unbelievable online shopping sprees in the world, with the intention to spoil yourself with luxuries and treats. Last year a record smashing $14.3 billion was spent in just 24 hours on Single’s Day, far exceeding Cyber Monday’s $3.07 billion, and this year Alibaba is expected to generate $20 billion in sales according to Fung Global Retail Tech.

Sales last year generated 467 million delivery orders and created havoc for mail carriers. The use of SMS can facilitate ease of secure shopping, notification and delivery of packages, customer satisfaction and in turn increased sales.
